One hundred years after Samuel Arthur and Joseph Benjamin poured the first pint of Brains, we’ve launched a shiny new ten barrel craft brewery to brew an exciting new range of beers.
Our expert brew masters Bill, Don and Andrew (not related to Samuel or Benjamin but talented nonetheless) have been busy experimenting, concocting and playing around with a mash of beer styles, hops and malts that make a top pint of beer.
The first beer was brewed in May 2012, a historic day as we launched All at Sea.
Following this we made our craft brewery even more interesting by letting some of the greats of the UK beer world loose in our new craft brewery. Simon Martin, aka Mr Real Ale Guide of You Tube fame, took over the brewery first to create Barry Island IPA. Over the next few months the likes of Martyn Cornell, Tim Hampson and Marverine Cole will be working hard brewing their own interpretations of the classic IPA.
With the new craft brewery we aim to bring you exciting, different and top quality beers.
